Woo Hoo!! We are going to have a demonstrator booth at the Rubber Stamp And Scrapbook Expo in Riverside, CA!! This is our first time so we are super excited and super nervous! We have absolutely no idea what to expect!

We will be doing $1 Make N Take cards through out the 2 days. If you are local, come by and check us out. Say hi! It would be so great to meet some of the wonderful peopel out in blogland!!!

A Class we had last night

We are excited to kinda sorta have our own buisness going- but it will be a long road- We have had about three classes so far- and doing ok. I want things to happen overnight-so I know we will need lots of patience along with alot of talent :D- like my friend Denise :)

Stamp Camp #1

Here were all the cards we got to make at our First Stamp Camp. It was so fun and the cards were gorgeous and fun! The first set of cards was made with the summer picnic DSP and Tart and tangy stamp set. The second set were made with Pun Fun and various rollers. We charged $15 for 14 cards- after looking at some other stamp camps I felt that we were very competetive and a great deal!

Ok so my friend Tina and I have a dream.....

To open a scrapbook store.She was "let go" about three weeks ago- so we figured lets check into it. We got a business license and a re-sale licence, we looked at some places, and then decided we need a RRRIIICCCHHH sugar daddy for her- that can support our scrapbook store opening. Well, we haven't found a sugar daddy- yet-, but we did find a nice lady named Theresa who owns Dream Dinners in Riverside (A really cool concept in dinner preparation.) She said we could "rent" some space from her and hold our classes at her place. We are very excited and looking forward to growing so L-A-R-G-E (our biz that is) that we then can open our own store (with or without a sugar daddy :)

So we are turning this blog into a business blog. This will have all our projects and dates that we will be doing at fun with paper. Samantha has moved to her own blog- please go by and visit-

Beate's Inspiration Challenge, A deal, and a SAS

Here is the card I came up with for Beate's Inspiration Challenge. I kinda sorta CASED Denise.

This was so fun- I love the BB family and the PUN FUN set. That is my May special. I think every house should own a PUN FUN set- so I am offering it to anyone at 20% off for the month of May (what a great Mother's day present!) I also used this card for my personal stamp -a-stack (SAS). My friend Tina and I vowed to make 10 cards each of the same design. Then we will trade 5 for 5. So this is the one I am using- Hope she likes it :)

Here are two more of the craft projects that we made at our craft workshop this past weekend. I got together with two other demonstrators and we each were in charge of a project- (two of us made two each.) The little box pattern can be found at Sharon's blog (she is so sweet to give us a present for Her birthday??? I just don't get that concept- lol)
This was Sheryl's project and the "HIT" of the workshop- I loved it- so cute and simple! To made the basket to hold the 3" cards you use a pice of paper 6X6. Score at 2" all the way around. Cut on two of the lines on the bottom and top- Fold up to make a basket. Same as the Tiny treat basket- but a little bigger. So simple and easy that my neighbor and good friend Melissa ran home and made another one. Then I stole her's from her (hehe) :)

And finally, The cutest thing I have ever made (well, minus my beautiful daughter)- Isn't he the greatest! Have a sunshiney - glamorous- wonderful day!

Scrapbook Sunday #1

Well it's official- I am going to scrapbook at least one page a week- and it has to be done on Sunday. So here is my first one- I love it. I kinda sorta CASED the front cover of the Stampin' Success Magazine- May Issue. I used a (shhh) CM wave cutter to cut some waves from Summer sun, Very vanilla, and Apple Cider DSP. Placed and sewed them on Always artichole. I know you are wondering where I got the flowers from- aren't they GREAT? They are soon coming out by ACWP- click on over for some neat products. The first Saturday in May is National Scrapbooking Day! National Scrapbook Day was started in 1994 by the well-known album company Creative Memories. and is celebrated on the first Saturday each May. Since 1994 scrapbookers all over the county celebrate their passion for Scrapbooking on this day! There are even online groups petitioning the US Government to make National Scrapbook Day a federal holiday!

Here are the top ten scrapping activities for this fun day:

1. Attend a crop or scrapbooking party! Of course, this would be #1 on the list! There is nothing better, and more motivating, than to scrap with friends new and old! In honor of National Scrapbook Day Fun with Paper will be hosting their 1st annual National Scrapbook Day Crop.

2. Go shopping! There is no better reason to treat yourself to a few new scrapbooking goodies! Or find a local Stampin' Up! demonstrator and get your hands on some of the newest, coolest, trendiest papers, stamps and accessories.

3. Learn a new technique! Sign up for a class at your local scrapbook store or host a Stampin' Up! workshop.

4. If you are local to the Riverside area, join us.

Here is my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch. I tried to step up my stamping a bit by breaking out the old, rusty, sewing- machine. I sent my paper piercing kit off to Brenda and thought I would order another one- but haven't had a chance yet- so the sewing machine it was! I actually bught one of those hand-held ones but they don't work- because there is no reverse button to "lock" your stitch. I used some printed paper from Micheals and some stickers I picked up at JoAnn's- both a while ago. TFL! Have a great weekend!

A Birthday Bash and an Ispiration CHALLENGE!

Ok- so I have been dying to show you guys my most wonderful cake creation EVVA! We did a jungle theme on Saturday for my baby boy's 1st birthday bash, and the cake came out sooooo CUTE- just like him- Don't you think?

So after all the chaos of birthday's everywhere- I was so looking forward to Beate's Tuesday Inspiration challenge. So I clicked on over and......... AAAAAAAGHHHHHHH! Fall colors. Now don't get me wrong, I love the fall and those colors-but my mind only likes those colors during the Fall. I only wear spring colors in the spring, summer-colors in the summer, and so on and so on...So, BOY- Did I have a difficult one with this one. You should see the first card I made- (I think if I would have posted it Beate probably would have said, "Good try- Better luck next time. LOL). Well, I tried again and here is what I came up with- I think it is just o.k. but it was fun making it using the brayer technique. Here was the inspiration piece and here is my cardSo, may your spring day be filled with many SPRING colors!

Dahlia Fold

My very first attempt with the Dahlia fold- Not too shabby! I love paper folding- especailly turning a one dollar bill into a panda or a bow tie. So when they started coming out with the adorable dresses, hats, purses, and flowers.... I knew I was in for it. So far I have done the dress- hat- and now the flower. This was so simple! Check out this great tutorial if you would like to try your hand at these.

This week is both of my kids birthday's. My good friends and my birthday also. So I was playing with a new set from ACWP (A Chemistry with Paper) and decided to make some goody bags. They came out pretty cute- the kids loved them- YEHAW! Whenever your birthday is- HOPE it's a happy one! TFL!

For Beate's Weekend sketch I made this card for
Dante's birthday today. I used the Dilly Dally and It's your birthday sets. The paper was WW, Brocade blue, certainly celery, and Barely banana and some paper from Micheal's. The punch is a retired one from SU!

The second card I made for the Cute Card Thursday blog (things with wings) and the limited supply challenge from SCS. You had to use white with only one other color. I used the It's beautiful roller, for a friend, and time well spent stamp sets. I am sure you can tell what color inks I used.... Brilliant blue. I also put some crystal effects on the flower, wing, and background and sprinkled with dazzling diamonds glitter. TFL! Have a great Monday!

Have you checked out A Chemistry with Paper yet? If not click on over there- they have some amazing stamp sets that are reasonably priced and so fun to use. They are also very versatile- a lot of great saying stamps that can be used with all other stamps. Plus- Sharon (the owners mom) is the sweetest lady in the whole entire universe- and you will feel good supporting such a sweet lady- plus check out her blog- Artful Avocations- she has great designs with the ACWP stamps. This is my most favorite challenge in blog world. I have a lotta difficulty with picking out colors to go together- so this is great cuz it gives me a great starting point. I look forward to Tuesday's becasue of this challenge every week. Gosh- How I wish I could wear this dress (well, she is a little to skinny for my liking- but I would like to be able to look cute in a spring dress) So I guess- I will have to live in this dress thru my stamping world. I picked so saffron, pumpkin pie, BB, and brocade blue. And then I....... Cased (LOL)- Ok well, Charmain had such a great card- and I had the sets that she used so..... why try to recreate- when she already perfected the card?

My near and dear friend Pam had a bouncing baby boy on Friday (4-4-08 cool birthday!) I can't wait to see him and hold him and smell him! Denise had sent me this card front along with a PIF and so I backed it and am sending it out to Pam (who, BTW- stamps beautifully!) Well- I wanted to do Denise's roller or background challenge and also Beate's Weekend sketch- so I did both- in one card!

I broke out the good ol' color wheel because I only had a little bit of jumbo inks- so I had to find some other color that matched the blue- and the cordinating color was orange- so I went with it. BUT- the coolest thing about this card was the matching roller to my stamp set was FREE (click here to find out how you can get a free one too!)

I saw this in blogland this morning (I found it- at chicnscratch) for the smaller post-it notes and I said to myself, "Self, You should make one of those. " I have DYING to use my Cherry paper- I ordered sooooo much of it- I had a very special friend who loved cherries and she got my daughter hooked on cherries- well, life happens and she was hurting my SO BERRY SWEET Tina so I had to tell her. Well, the truth HURTS- and she didn't take it very well- called me mean, obnoxious, and rude- and is now spreading rumors all over the County Head Starts where I sub teach! Well- we are not speaking anymore. But I do miss her- and HATE when people are mad at me- so I think I am filling the hole in my heart- and my SU! quota with this wonderful cherry paper!!! Have you ever had to "Break-UP" with a girlfriend. Let me know!

Hello there Happy Saturday!

Last night I was playing with some tins that I had gotten off of the $1 spot at Target. This is what I came up with- I used the Stylized Flower Set from ACWP (A Chemistry with paper)- You have got to check out this new store!!! The inks where all SU! Real red, Taken with teal, and Pumpkin Pie. I stamped on a 2" X 4" label and stuck it on.

I love how much glam some stamped tissue paper gives to any present. Would you like this gift?? It is my blog candy for April. I will randomly pick a comment April 30th. Enjoy! Happy Stampin!

Well I have so much to tell you - I had to combine it all. On Friday I went to the Wild Animal Park with my daughter's school field trip. We had a lot of fun- and I got to take a picture of a Northern Rhino (which will most likely be extinct in our lifetime) there are only 8 left. the WAP has two- a male and a female- but the female is past her "time."

Saturday my family went to Yucapia Regional Park for our 4th annual Easter Egg Hunt. It is so much fun and soooooo beautiful. There is a lake and tons of beautiful green mountains to play on. We bring a dozen filled eggs for each kid- they spread them through out the mountain and each kid comes home with more candy than we know what to do with. Then the real fun begins. We have an adult Easter Egg hunt - each adult brings 6 eggs - 5 of them stuffed with $1 and 1 stuffed with $5 (or more). Each adult then gets to go and find 6 eggs- in hopes that you find all 6 with $5 in each- well my husband got $6 and I got $10- we weren't big winners but we have lots of fun.

Then I found out I got this -some -kinda cool looking award from Denise- Yahoo! I love awards- and I LOVE Denise!

My very good girlfriend, Tina, left a little bag filled with all sorts of Easter treats hanging on my door knob this morning- What a fun surprise- I love, love,love getting stuff! I also got word that I am getting a "PIF" from Denise- so I will "PIF"ing also later. Even though I am thouroghly exhausted - these really "perked" up my day! Thank you T! MUAH!

A day in the life of a challenged challenge stamper!

Well- I kinda figure this is my blog and it's kinda like a journal for me. So much is going on in my life right now- I feel dizzy. Time is flying by- yesterday was Christmas and now it's Easter- I forgot to make my house payment- cuz- I don't even think there were the first two weeks in March.

Wake up at 6am- get the three kids up in the shower. My two nephews are staying with me and don't wanna go home (Auntie's house is a fun house!). Get them off to school by 7:30 am get home at 8:10 play with the baby and get my daughter ready for school and practise the piano. Ok- she's off to school- Get ready to do laundry and clean bathrooms and kitchen.

The phone starts to ring.

Today I started out with a phone call from Donna- my PTA vice-president. "Are we riding the bus to the field trip Friday, or driving." Oh- yeah I forgot to call you back lst night- we are driving. "Ok well, there is a big fundraising package that never got delivered before Christmas- now they want thier money back." Ok- well can you handle that?- Great! We will need the popcorn delivered Thursday morning for the Reading Party. "Ok- we will need a check for $124.50 ." Sandi then came over- My PTA treasurer- ok- we need lots of checks cut- especially to me- I have $1500 out in my money that the PTA owes me. So we do that. Then Judy calls- next year's PTA president- "When's teacher appreciation week?" May- "Ok well I called a massage school and they want $30 an hour to come give teacher massages during thier lunch. Ok- well lets wait a bit on that- It's in May and I am still in December?????

Off to clean the bathrooms- I put the "boy" in the tub- while I clean the first one- OH-UH! POOP! yeah POOP! so I take him out and "fish" the poop out with his toy net- clean the tub and the net- put him back in- alright back to cleaning- OH-NO- are you kidding me??? POOP!!! AGAIN! Ok - so I let the water out and turn on the shower head- we are cleaning the boy and rinsing- and we are done! Think that's bad- wait it get's better- Yesterday we were "dogsittin" for some friends a cute little white ball of fluff. Shorty was supposedly potty- trained- so I agreed- we have two little girls dogs and they are trained to go outside- so I don't have to worry about it. Piece of cake. So I am in the kitchen doing the dishes and I her my little guy splashing- What in the world?- AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH! That shorty dog peed and my baby was playing in it- needless to say- off to the bath! YUCK!

Well, if that wasn't enough yesterday being St. Patrick's day- Of course we had to have a visit from the Leprachaun. And boy was he messy. He thru paper everywhere- spilt the yougart all over the table- spilt green sprinkles, made feet prints everywhere, turned the milk green and peed in the toilet (green).

Then it was off to softball- oh yeah dinner- the kids are hungry- so it off to McDonald's- Hurry and eat- gotta go- Softball three-5 nights a week-plus piano and Girl scouts- wow- I am twirling!

Ok- so I put the baby down- shhh- sleeping- yeah- clean the bathrooms- take a shower- brush my teeth- FRESH!- get dressed- still sleeping- today I get make-up- horray- Hubby will be happy! Uh-oh- he's awake- ok- off to the bank to pay my house payment- plus the $70 late fee- well there goes all my profit from SU! last month- right out of my Utah fund. Oh well- what can you do- Ok - sit down and look at the challenge- yeah it's Tuesday- INSPIRATION!

So here is the inspiration challenge for today

I love these colors- orange and green were my high school colors and I have always liked them together since then. I need to make my aunt a sympathy card- cuz' the Packers have lost Brett- she is devestated! LOL- FOMCL- it will be funny- she is a crack up- she will appreciate it. So here is what I came up with....

Well HELLO!

I feel like it has been F--O-R-E-V-E-R since I have posted anything. So, since it has- a treat for you! On Wednesday, March 19th- I will pick a random comment to give out some blog candy- a SU! SAB set. Good Luck!

Well I do love my ROCK STAR stamper Beate (Kinda have claimed her as my new BFF- even though I have never met her- but I am sure she is someone I would get along with???- she has commented me twice! :) It's all very funny- I did get excited when she commented me the first time- so I called all my stamping buddies and told them Beate commented me- they were soooooo jealous and excited for me- then when she commented me again- OH BOY! I just knew we were BFF"S!!!- So I was cracking myself up and my girlfriends. Then Denise commented my friend Tina and added Tina to her favorites list and then they suddenly became BFF"S (again - never even have met) Well- we have a good time- and really, really appreciate all the comments and love on our blogs, to say the least!

Todays Technique challenge was SO COOL! (thou I can't pronounce or spell it??? Faux something?) You pick a page out of a magazine stamp on the magazine paper and emboss on it. So easy, yet it looks amazing!

Mary's card that I CASED (Copy and Share Everything). This is the first time I have taken a CASE challenge. So I tried to stick to only changing two things but I think I might have changed a little more because it wasn't coming together as beautifully as Mary's card looked- thou I am happy with my results.

Here's what I changed: Colors, removed scallop (couldn't fit it), different cuttlebug background, differnt letters, added more stars. TFL!

Beate's Weekend sketch!

Ok- It is Friday already- So I was talking to Tina and she said "are you going to do the weekend sketch?" I said "Yeah when it's the weekend!"- Well, I am a little behind. I still want to do the featured stampers challenge (Mary Fish- AKA Petal Pucher on SCS). So the baby is sleeping- so I am going to go clean bathrooms- get 2 cards done today- go to the school for Read across America- fix dinner- and take my daughter to sb practise. I must go!!!! TTFN!

A confession and a card

Catchy title? I stole it from another blogger. Thanks! So I went to Michaels today - (ALL BY MYSELF)!!! I left the daddy and the boy home. But before I got there I stopped by CVS cuz' they had Hershy kisses on sale for .99 cents a bag limit 4. So I stopped by, got my four bags and headed off to Michaels. I went there to get some votive candles that come it a disposable holder, they fit nice in some hurricane candle holders I have and they were on sale (Photo #1).

Well, I have been really hard trying to make more than I spend on the SU! thing and trying to really stick to a budget. So as I pulled into the driveway and automatically headed for JoAnn's (like my car was in auto-pilot) I turned around- and went to Michaels. I told myself votives and that's all!-plus the chocolates will melt if I take to long (Cuz' here in So Cal- it was very sunny today!) I walked in and saw some button brads on clearance for $2 and 30% off of that! So I grabbed a few- then walked down the Martha Stewart isle- thankfully nothing was on sale. So I then walked down the paper isle and knowing that I have WAY TOO much paper (if there is such thing) I got out of that isle. At the end of that isle were the little hand held baskets and I thought perfect- since I am just getting the votives- and now some clearance brads. So I put all my stuff in the hand held basket and go down the Fiskar isle were everything was 40% off- believe it or not I have it all- so I kept on going until.... I saw the mega and giga punches. Well, I recently bought the circle ones and I "needed" the square ones- and I had coupons for 40% off plus I have a resale lisence so I put those in my basket. Then I noticed some great BIG sale signs on the brads, eyelets, and buttons -$1.99 on all that were $2.99- so I picked a few or four or five ok well about 7 of those up- I know you can NEVER have too many brads! As I continued on towards the votives which were Wwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy over in the corner of the other end of the store- I hit the wedding isle. I saw these great pre-punched out flowers- that I remember seeing on another blog and I new I had to have them- You got soooooooo many for only $4.99 and of course, I had to have white and ivory. Well, I thought I might as well look what else I can find here- telling myself- I am going to fill this basket and then leave it at the end of one of these isles and show myself how much self-control I have as I walk out with my 2 packs of votives. I got some pearl brads, tin containers, and rhinestones. Then it was the ribbon isle- they were on $ale! 2 for $6 and so many and oh so cute and oh I wanted them all- so I was good and only got 8.

I am almost to the votives and I see some baskets- 40% off can I get a whoohoo! No absolutely not! I am here for votives I proceed towards the votives and I find them- I decide on 3 packs- since I am hosting a baby shower this weekend and I know I will use at least 6 this weekend. So I have my votives and I am off to the checkstand- but oh- the baskets- I have to walk past them- hey Tina uses cute baskets at our craft fairs- so I "need" some cuz' we are doing one in 2 weeks- so I get 2 cute ones :)

Ok I am almost to the checkstand- and right there- right before I get there- is the $1 bins!!! OH-NO! They have paper and pens and journals and I have 2 more baskets to fill up now- so I do! I have to set everything down and make three trips to the checkstand. TADA! I made it! WEll, almost- They have those little shelves right before you get to the checkstand- so as the lady rings me up- I see Easter stickers- I "NEED" some of those- and then I see my saving grace- LINDT chocolates- my hubbies favorite candy! So I get those also.

Ok so not to shabby- I didn't even use a shopping cart- yah- not so much $184 later- AAAAGHH! The hubby is going to be mad! I am mad at myself- I got a reciept I can take some stuff back???!!!

On the way home I think I could stop by CVS and get 4 more bags- nah! I'll be good (LOL). As I get more and more depressed that I can't stop my spending habit- I suddenly remember- hey it's a new month- YAHOO!- I giggle- slap my knee and tell myself- I can start all over!

So going home I tell myself I will keep it all in my car and when the hubby goes to work I will "sneak" it into the craft room- he has no idea what's new and old- Well, the kids are home from school and I go out to get the mail. I look at the back of my car and notice the packages are sticking out the window! (Photo #2) Seriously, my car- my shopping cart- Hum? I better get them inside now while the hubby is working in the backyard-(Picture #3- he has NO iDEA!!!)

I carefully go thru the side door- past the game room thru the kitchen- down the hall into the craft room. 3 bags down, only 2 to go( photo #4 and 5). I go get them- ah-ha! I did it! I take everything out- cuz- I gotta put it away so honey won't know or see it (photo#6)- I go to give him his surprise (photo #7)- cuz' I am the kind, loving wonderful wifey! And that's all he has to know!

Whew- what a confession... Now for the card... (Photo#8)

This was the wedding challenge that Denise did today. It is pretty self- explanatory - the dress is made with vellum and puffed out a little. The flowers were from a recent shopping trip to Michaels (LOL-FOTCL-falling off the chair laughing) TFL and reading! Have a $uper day!!!

Inspiration Challenge

This is the first Inspiration Challenge I have ever done. How neat to look at an item and get a great color scheme, print pattern, or design from it. After looking at Beate's challenge I went to Sam's club and noticed all kinds of differnt inspirations! It was so much fun- I wanted to take out my cell phone and start taking pic's but I was afraid people would think I was trying to do something illegal. So I tried to take some mental pics. At the Las Vegas regionals 2 years ago I remember one of the speakers saying that when you are looking thru a magazine and you see a neat color combination or design- rip it out and start an inspiration binder- I think I will start one tonight!

Gettin Dirty!

We went Ridin' with our friends Tina and Micheal. we bought my 7 year-old daughter a pink quad for Christmas and my husband got a black 400 Honda. Savannah (my daughter) was playing follow the leader with her dad (Steven), and Michael- She was going fast over the loops-dee-whoos- Then she stops (abruptly) so does Steven and Michael and turns around and says "Now that's what I call riding fast!

Well, WDYT (what do you think?) This is my very first card that I made with my acrylic stamps from A Chemistry with Paper (ACWP). I have never worked with Acrylics, they take a little getting used to- but once you get it they are so COOL! You can see right were you are placing everything- I would have never been able to place the Happy Birthday greeting so perfect on that paper- like I was able to with acrylics. Can't wait to play some more! TFL!

My LIFE, My LOVES, My LAUGHS!

These are the reasons I live, the reasons I laugh, and who I love. I had a lot of trouble having babies (3 in heaven already) so I know how "LUCKY" I am. With St. Patty's day coming up- I don't need to wish for anything, or find a four-leaf clover- I have had all my wishes come true! One Boy-One girl- 2 hearts- my life! My daughter, Savannah started ASA softball and since she has never played before-she, well, kinda "sucks." But she is one of those kids who learns fast and yesterday she caught her first pop-fly ball. Do you know I was crying! With tear filled eyes I realized that is what being a mommy is all about!- Love you Van- Mommy!

So the kind of stamper I am is use one stamp set so you don't have to clean a whole bunch- and leave it out for a long time- cuz' the more you look at it- the more you will want to play with it, and then the more you play with it the more creative you will become, and then the more creative you become the more proud you fell of yourself- but really in all- cuz' I don't want to clean my big mess up and then have to get it all out again another day to make the mess all over.
